Tour Of Palm Springs 100 miles

Hello,

So it was a great ride this past weekend. The weather was prefect 60 to 70f.

We had a good group of riders from big bear. Dean,Craig,Randy and Sander,Peter,Rob,Paul,Jeff,Conner.Some of us stayed at Craig's. 700 am start some thing like 7000 riders. We were all going to try to stay with the led group and all most everyone was doing the 100 miler. We met up with Glenn Stanton his home town and a great rider for us to try to stay with and knows the in and out of the ride. Danny Pate and another ride from this team getting ready for the tour of California in ten days. We had a great showing 3 riders staying withe the lead group. I was just behind missed one of the last brakes group was down to 12 riders. Not happy with that ! But everyone had a great time supper fun. Conner first group ride and did the 100 great job for a 15 year old. Fontana Mtn bike race in two weeks. Come join us.

So the shop is slow and I am training.
Mornings went snowboarding and a nice road ride in the afternoon.

Como Street Road Ride/Race

Hello,
This weekend was Como street road Ride/Race this is the first time that I have done it. It is one of the oldest Group rides in so cal since 1960 in Tustin. Lot's of supper fast riders show up even Floyd Landis TDF Champ has showed up. Peter from New Zealand One of my Faster riders, went they roll out at 8:00 am that means 5:30 from big bear.
The ride is slow for a wile then slowly picks up pace till the Live Oak and then It is everyone for them self till we get back to the start. Not that hard of a ride 40 miles but the pace is really hard from live oak. I just got popped at the top of the clime and lead the 2nd group the rest of the way. Peter stayed in the group the hole way.

I am back it has been a wily since I've posted. So Here is the 2006 rap up.
6 Team 4 NORBA titles ,1 team title ,advancers race 2 big race 1st place and 3 of us at Worlds masters championships and lot's lot's more. Teams Bear Valley Bikes,Steven K Sports Pro Team, K&N pro team, Sole/Epi ,Big Bear advancers racing and the women's pro cyclo cross team. So know it time to just have fun,did some Epic rides,me and Larry went to the top of San G,State Cyclo cross championships then the hangover 100 in palm springs and to the track Joe Wiley trying to make the US team this past some of us raced in Fontana I took 3rd. I really love it and thanks to all how love it to. Let's have a great 2007.

Great course 5k 1000ft climbing per lap supper tuff downhills.
No time to recover 4 laps. First lap 1min back 2nd lap 2min back off lead.
3rd lap wanting to drop out. 4th lap hanging in there.

So Rim Nordic is over 2006 in the books.
Bear Valley Bikes best year yet. A great 2006.

Kiwi Win For BVB

Just got word that Peter and his Brother took 1st and 3rd at a race in New Zealand.
July 9th at Christchurch NZ Bottle Lake. Now BVB Team is winning races on the Southern Hemisphere.
Great Job . Now the Team is preparing for July 30th Rim Nordic Socal Mtns.

Worlds Masters Mtn Bike Championships

All I can think about is how I can get ready for the World.
This is the biggest race of my life. So ever one Pray and Who knows may be It will come together.

Hello, every one.
So last night I sleeped at the portal at Mtn Whitney then the morning I road down to Lone Pine and back up again 5000 ft clime really hard in the sun really steep. Then drive to Reno for Specialized Dealer event will be back at the shop on Friday.
All the Specialized gear looks sweet.

1st at southridge Fontana and 1st Tuesday night worlds

Hello everyone,
Or know one this past weekend at Fontana was hot 112F. But my form is coming and I got a win.
Then on Tuesday night road worlds I got win number 2 informally.
Then i set my sights higher and decided to race the worlds the master XC Worlds championships.
So it looks like at list 4 of us are going to make the trip.
Steven Kenney, Don McLaughlin,Dean Swank and my self. And maybe my Dad.
So BC here we come and I will do everything I can to use the time I have left to prepare & train.
All of your prays will help maybe God can help. This will be the Biggest Race of my Life all the years lead to this day.
There will be no pain on that day everyone and everything my hole life's blood given and try for a win.

Tour Of Cal

So we went up to the tour of Cal.
Great to see all the people supporting the race.
Raced Fontana this past weekend.
Super tired lot's of work and Siena full time these days.

Pioneer Town Ride and God was shining on us

Hello,
So today seamed like a good day to do the pioneer Town Loop.
50 miles 25 down and 25 up.
We had a great time one wrong turn 1 1/2 hours out of our way.
So it was a 65 mile ride 5000 feet of climing.
It was just great to hang out and ride with friends.
We had a great group of riders.
Rev,Don,Randy,Crag,Dean,Peter,me.
7 hours with our detour.
Lot's of fat burning.
45F to 70F temp.

Monday Great training with Love

So the day after my race and good friends call to ride.
I think this might help my legs and decided to go. We had a great ride Good single track PCT.
Really warm 58F clear and sunny. Two hours of fun with friends.
The new bike even better shock set up getting better.

Southridge Race #2 Fontana

Hello,
So yeaterday was race #2 of the southridge series. My back has been giving me trouble this past week.
Kim is sick and Sunday mooring I think I started to get it. So the race was not looking so good for me.
But I had to tuff it out. The race went a lot better than expected took 30 sec off the first race time 1:52.55 three laps 5th place and another podium used a GPS to log the race for the web site www.geoladders.com . My race will be on there tomorrow.
No Super-D Siena was with me and I could not find anyone to help watch her. So just keep on track with my training this week.
Raced my new bike S-Work Carbon Epic It was sweet.

The shop looks really good lot's of stuff. Worked on my Carbon Epic today Shocks air Pressure set up on the R7.
Set Controls, seat height ,tire set up ,wheel dish, brake pads. I think it ia almost ready.

Thing are good. Training is going really great keeping it real and staying on track. This might be my year.
The new bike won't hurt. Just have to much fun. Fontana is this weekend and I am going to ride my new bike.
Made the top 10 list for MBA fastest time for the last one. Just keep moving forward.

Life is good

We are going to do a ride down the back grade hwy 18 to Camp Rock Rd.
It should be hard 16% grad 4000 feet of climming. Going to try to clime it at 75 to 80 %.

CARBON FIBER DREAMS COME TRUE

YES Carbon fiber dreams do come true. Specialized has done it .
Now I will billed it and race it next weekend. This really is the nicest bikes I have ever seen.
4.8 Lbs Of everything Love. My wife is sleeping on the couch. My dog will have to stay outside.
Siena is going on a trip. Nice but not that nice. So I will keep everyone up dated on the process of building and racing at Fontana next weekend. I love you all. This is a great planet. Everything is so beautiful. God is good.

What a great day 25min down the back way hwy 18 drop 4000 feet in lavation. Warn in the 60F. Lot's of wide roads very few cars a little wind some tail. Clear and we just did the training that we need to. Got to use my I-Pod nano it worked great.
Just trying to stay on my training plain. Siena has been snowboarding and have been spending a lot of time with her.

CycloCross Season is over But the fitness is there

It was a great year 14 races 10 weeks and that was the season evey week. I think it helped my fitness going In to this season.

2006 season has started Fontana Mtn Bike series

Hello everone this is my first post.
This past weekend we raced the first Fontana mtn bike race of this season.
4th in the XC and 2nd in the Super-D.
Great day sunny rained the night before dry and tacky cool temp.
Great turn out 4 more series races and then the first NORBA of 2006.
